It is Important To Use Only Recommended CPAP Cleaners When Cleaning Your CPAP Equipment
This Prevents Damage and Maintains Effectiveness

Recommended cpap cleaners are necessary to ensure the product is kept sanitary.  Cpap mask cleaners are sold in medical supply stores, online and in pharmacies.  It is important to only use recommended cpap cleaners for the mask and air apparatus.  The cleaner the CPAP and mask are, the more sanitary they are.  Sleep apnea is a common affliction and those people who are diagnosed with sleep apnea are often prescribed a CPAP and mask so that air can be forced into the airway and the patient is better able to breathe.  Citrus cleaners are popular and recommended by many patients who have experience using them.

A cleaner such as a citrus cleaner is recommended for use at least once per week.  Cleaners that are used in the sleep apnea CPAP air machines will ensure that they keep particles from accumulating and that the mask and sleep apnea machine are always in good condition.  A citrus air cleaner is often recommended because of the fresh scent that is pleasing in the air along with the cleaning abilities.  Citrus cleaners are pleasing and do not emit a strong medicine odor that other types of cleaners might emit.

Check with the manufacturer of the CPAP machine for the frequency of cleansing and the specific methods for doing so.  The proper care of the machinery will ensure that the device lasts a long time and will not further contribute to health issues that you may be experiencing.  Just as you want any other item that regularly comes in contact with you to be clean, you also want to be sure the CPAP is clean and sanitary.  Do not use over the counter cleaners that are multi purpose as these can harm the machine and may be hazardous to your health.  Instead, only use CPAP cleaners that are specifically designed for use in a CPAP machine or with a CPAP mask.  This will ensure your machine, mask and supplies are always fresh and clean for use in your nightly apnea treatment.
