Partner Sleep Problems

Partner sleep problems occur when the person with whom you share a bed has a sleep disorder that interrupts your own sleep.  The sleep problems of your partner can have serious affects on you, too.  Common sleep problems such as snoring or fitful sleeping may cause you to awaken during the night as well.  Sharing a bed with a partner who has one of these common sleep problems can be aggravating and disruptive.  Just as your partner may have a problem sleeping, you, by sharing a common bed also have problems sleeping.

A partner who has excessive snoring might keep you awake because of the noise level.  This is a common problem regarding sleep that is often not taken seriously.  However, a snoring problem while sleeping may be due to a more serious issue.  Even if it is not, it disrupts both people’s slumber and that can have potentially damaging consequences.  It is important to get a good night’s rest so you feel alert and refreshed in the morning.  If you are not well rested you will feel tired, irritable and may have trouble focusing and being productive at home, work or at your job.  It is important to seek assistance in solving the issue before it dramatically affects your life.
