Melatonin Hyper Condition Treatments
Less Drastic Than Conventional Drug Therapy
There is some legitimate speculation as to whether the effect of melatonin can serve as a treatment for a light behavioral hyper condition. Excluding melatonin, light hyper condition
treatments can range from mild counseling and diet changes to more drastic intervention involving medication like Ritalin or Adderal. The problem
with Ritalin and Adderal is that although they may counteract light hyper behavior conditions, they also increase the conditions of a sleep
disorder such as insomnia or sleep deprivation, for example.
Melatonin, on the other hand, is a hormone naturally created within the brain. And it's secreted by the pineal gland (located in the
midsection of the brain) to assist with the different circadian cycles of night sleep. As a result, it's manufactured, sold, and used as a
natural calming agent. Using natural melatonin to counteract a hyper condition has not only a more calming effect, it also has a profound effect
on sleeping disorders including obstructive apnea.
In essence, melatonin could be responsible for the cure of two distinct brain disorders at once. While a patient suffering from a hyper
condition can benefit from the calming effects of melatonin in the daytime, he or she can also benefit from the sleepiness that melatonin is
known (and used) to induce.
