Looking For Tips To Help Me Stop Snoring

If you're like me, you're looking for ways or tips to help me stop snoring. I'm a female for heaven's sake, I don't know about you... but I don't particularly enjoy my husband and children teasing me about my snoring! On a more serious side, I'm a bit frightened about what my snoring may indicate about my health. Snoring, or apnea, is a serious health condition so yes... you can bet I'm not only looking for ways to stop snoring, I'm looking for a bona fide cure!

As far as I understand, the tips and research that I've found so far indicate that snoring is the result of obstructive breathing or a constricted throat. That scares the dickens out of me. Apparently during sleep, I'm not breathing the way that I'm supposed to and my throat/nasal airway isn't getting a proper amount of air. I can't think of a single situation where this would be appropriate, but I feel a little victimized knowing that this condition is seemingly out of my control while I'm sleep.

The tips that I've discovered so far indicate that snoring isn't restricted to gender, age, or energy level. And yes - there is help available! From over-the-counter breathing devices and medications to side sleep positions and full-blown cpap breathing machines, I can finally get the help I need to stop snoring and get on with my life. Essentially, I need to employ ways to keep my throat clear and open while I'm asleep. And as long as I can do that, my symptoms of apnea will disappear - Which is good news because that means no more teasing from my family and no more frightening health scares!
