Sleep in a Quiet Room
Sleep Disorder Tip #06-010
Have you ever tried to fall asleep with the sound of a loud television in the next room?
Does your partner insist on watching TV while you try to sleep? If you have then you understand what this weekly tip is trying to say. It is
difficult to fall asleep when there is noise in the room.
You should eliminate all noise in your bedroom if you are serious about falling asleep at your scheduled bedtime. If you have a partner who
watched TV in bed you should consider negotiating for quiet. A loud neighbor may require you to either complain or move. If these solutions are
not possible then earplugs may be required. If you find that the regular earplugs that you purchase are uncomfortable to sleep in then you
should purchase earplugs that are designed specifically for sleeping.
With a quiet room or earplugs you should be able to fall asleep at your regularly scheduled bedtime.
