Ensure an Appropriate Room Temperature
Sleep Disorder Tip #06-009

How many times have you gone to bed and found the room either too hot or cold? Or worse yet how many times have you woken up in the night and needed an extra blanket? In both cases your natural sleep has been interrupted and for many they are unable to get a good nights rest.

You always want to set your bedroom temperature to your personal preference. Experts have suggested however that a slightly cooler than normal temperature is best for sleeping. Generally in the 65 to 70 Fahrenheit range. It has also been suggested that if possible you should sleep with an open window for fresh air.

The cooler temperature choice and better ventilation allows you to breathe more deeply and correctly. This allows for a better sleep.
