Create Ideal Bedroom Conditions

Sleep Disorder Tip #06-008

Many people go to bed each night tired but for some reason the instant they lie down they feel wide awake. Their bedroom does not promote a calm and restive atmosphere.

You need to take matters into your own hands with this problem. Were the lights very bright just before you lay down? Was the television on? Did you walk over to the computer and do one last check on your email? What other interruptions did you experience just before you lay down?

You should have a personal goal of creating a calm and restive atmosphere before you go to bed. Dimming lights, removing the television, not turning on the computer will all help you to create a cozy and harmonious environment.

Once you have created an environment that is relaxing to you then it is more likely you will have an easier time falling asleep. The cost of this change should be minimal and you will more likely enjoy a refreshing night's sleep.
