One More Reason That I should Get My Mild Sleep Apnea Reevaluated

A very good video about a man with sleep apnea who underwent surgery to correct severe sleep apnea. He discusses the operation in great detail.

I found some of his comments surprising. Despite the fact that he had surgery that greatly increased the amount of air that he going into his lungs via his nose and mouth it still wasn't a normal amount. He makes various comments regarding how for the first week or so he had so much air going through his nose that it was uncomfortable until he got used to it.

It makes me wonder how much my mild sleep apnea is affecting my health.

Yes I am not as overweight as he is (+35 pounds) but I do have some of the other symptoms.

Other points of interest:
-his Doctor actually prescribes the amount of air that the CPAP forces into his mouth/nose
-his breathing was pausing for up to a minute--I thought that that would wake anyone up
-his CPAP gradually increased the air that was fed to him in order to make it easier to fall asleep--especially useful when you first start using it

Enjoy the video!
